How to Extract Pages From a PDF
- 1
Choose a PDF to see a preview of every page.
- 2
Click the pages you want to keep.
- 3
Click Extract pages and download the new PDF.
Example
You only need the signature page and the price table from a 40-page contract. Select those two pages and save them as a short PDF to share.
Select Exactly the Pages You Want to Share
Extract PDF Pages makes one new PDF from the pages you select. It is useful for a receipt inside a larger statement, a chapter from a manual or a few pages from an application packet. Click the thumbnails you want to keep. The selection count helps you check how many pages will be included before you process the file.
Selected pages keep their original order, even if you click a later page first. To change their order, extract them and then open the result in Organize PDF. Thumbnail labels refer to positions in the file rather than numbers printed on the page. If the preview is too small to read a detail, inspect that page in the full workspace or another reader before selecting it.
Review the Extracted Document
The output contains only selected pages, so the expected page count is the selection count. Open the downloaded PDF and check each page, particularly the first and last selected pages. Keep the original until the recipient confirms that the extracted copy is suitable. The Download PDF button lets you save the completed result again while this tab is open.
A page that looks empty can still contain a form field or scanned content that is faint in a thumbnail. Check the full page before excluding it. Page extraction also does not redact content within a selected page: names, account numbers and other details on that page remain visible. Choose pages carefully and use a separate verified redaction workflow if content inside a page must be removed.
One Selected PDF or Several Separate PDFs?
Use this tool when several selected pages should travel together as one PDF. Use Split PDF when each page or each range should become its own file. Use Delete PDF Pages when almost all pages should remain and only a small number should be removed. Choosing the right operation reduces the amount of clicking and makes the expected output easier to check.
Rebuilding a PDF can affect document-level features such as bookmarks, attachments, forms and digital signatures. This tool is for copying pages and does not certify preservation of those features. If an extracted document has legal or business requirements, inspect the result in the reader used by the recipient and keep the source document as the record copy.
What It Does and Current Limits
- Selected pages are saved in their original order and full quality.
- Links and form fields that point to removed pages may stop working.
